Ilya Kovalchuk has got two days to get to know his new teammates now. That is important for both him and the team, as he started off with two back to back- games for the Devils, which didn’t gave him time to understand his new surroundings.

Of course, everything’s not about Kovalchuks arrival. Patrick Elias, who is very important for the Devils Power Play, was back in the line up against Rangers.

Since Kovalchuks arrival, the Devils have outshot both their opponents. They ’ve had a lot of great scoring chances vs. the Rangers this Saturday, but Lundqvist played brilliant between the pipes.

Tonight, the Devils will face a  hungry Philadelphia, who lost its last two games on its roadtrip.

The Flyers will go with Michael Leighton(GAA 2.25, 92.5 save pct.) in tonight’s game. He has been good since his arrival to the Flyers, but isn’t a very reliable goalie. He gave away some strange goals on the roadtrip, but will go tonight again, as Emery has some tightness in his left hip.

This will be a tight game, but this is a good oppurtunity for the Devils to  get some offense going.
