The Blackhawks somehow managed to wake up in GM2 about ten minutes into the game when they were down 2-0. They rallied to win, 4-2, but in both games in United Center, they came out of the gate very slowly and that’s not a good sign.
Now the venue switches to General Motors Place at Vancouver, where the Canucks have been deadly this season, as they have won 30 games there, most in the NHL. Confidence is still high in the Canucks and now they’ll have home ice advantage where the place will be absolutely electrifying.
Antti Niemi(GAA 2.60, 90.7 save pct.) gives up loads of rebounds. He allowed four goals in three of the six games against the Preds. He also gave up five goals against the Canucks in GM1 of this series, so there’s no doubt that he is a momentum goalie.
The Canucks have scored 12 goals in three home games in this playoffs, 4 goals per game. They scored 148 goals in 41 games in the regular season, 3.61 goals per game.
Of course, this will not be a walk in the park, but if the Canucks get their things going, they should at least tie this line.
